On 28th February 2019 Yasmin delivered, in collaboration with BPTSA (Bristol Primary Teaching School Alliance), CPD on Maths and EAL.  The focus was on exploring effective techniques on supporting learners to access the language of Maths.

“The strategies shared and understanding the progress required by EAL were the most useful elements.  I will be using the Question Card Swap techniques and the Language for Maths book.”

Following on from the above event Yasmin has written an article on Maths and EAL for the latest Learning Village newsletter

With growing interest in the area of Maths and EAL Better Bilingual is very excited to announce that the focus of this year’s Better Bilingual End of Year Celebration Event is EAL Approaches to Enhancing Maths Attainment.

If you would like to share a ‘Maths & EAL success story’, i.e. a specific EAL intervention, resource or approach which has had a positive impact on EAL pupils’ Maths attainment then please get in touch on info@betterbilingual.co.uk.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to share and celebrate your school’s success in one aspect of EAL as well as networking with colleagues from other settings for further ideas on building on your success!
